Our next blogger is Aisha Taylor. Aisha is my colleague in our workers’ compensation practice and our employment law practice group. She also has the office right next to mine, which works out well for me because I consider her more than a colleague, she is my friend.

Aisha knew she wanted to be a lawyer at the age of 13 – saying she thought that lawyers were assertive, aggressive and powerful. Those are all traits Aisha has honed herself. During undergrad at the University of South Carolina, she was a captain of the 2002 NCAA National Championship Women’s Track & Field Team and a four-year SEC Scholar Athlete. Her past accomplishments on the track chronicle her energy and determination to succeed in the legal field. Aisha is a senior associate here at the firm. Prior to joining Collins & Lacy in 2007, she served as a judicial law clerk for The Honorable Brooks P. Goldsmith of South Carolina’s Sixth Judicial Circuit Court, which allowed her the chance to know what it’s like on both sides of the bench.
One of the things I admire about Aisha is her ability to juggle the demands of an active practice while maintaining her role as wife and mother of two. I know you’ll enjoy her blogs as much as I enjoy working with her. – Christian.
