Qualifications:

A successful candidate will have 1 to 3 years of civil defense litigation experience.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance coverage and bad faith law and a passion for helping clients navigate complex insurance disputes.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Insurance Coverage and Bad Faith Practice Group, providing guidance and mentorship to junior attorneys and team members.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met with the highest level of professionalism and expertise.
  • Provide expert legal counsel in the areas of insurance coverage, bad faith litigation, and insurance-related disputes.
  • Represent clients in state and federal courts, mediation, and arbitration proceedings.
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow the practice group and expand the firm’s presence in the insurance coverage sector.
  • Collaborate with other practice groups within the firm to provide comprehensive legal solutions for clients.

 

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the South Carolina Bar (or eligibility for admission).
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in insurance coverage law and a demonstrated track record regarding bad faith litigation.
  • Proven record of success in managing and growing a practice group or department.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional client service.

  • Experience in personal injury, premises liability and professional liability a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree and paralegal certificate from an ABA approved program preferred
  • Experience working with ProLaw
  • Experience working with insurance companies
