Most of you are probably already using the SCWCC’s relatively new eCase system to access the most up-to-date information about your claims. This system allows attorneys, adjusters and and (with the latest enhancement) TPA users to access claims. When you log into eCase, you see what our friends at the Commission see on their computer screens. eCase indicates which forms have been received and all hearing and informal conference dates as well as any fines assessed. It also gives my favorite nugget of information—the date a Form 19 has been processed, so we can all close our files! Sometimes a Form 19 is filed, but the SCWCC does not close the file for some reason. The quickest way to be sure your file is closed is to click on eCase.
If you are not signed up for e-case, visit www.wcc.sc.gov and click on the “eCase status” icon in the center of the page to register. Trust me, this will make your life easier!
