COLUMBIA, S.C – On January first, Collins & Lacy shareholder Andrew N. Cole became an Associate Director on the Board of Directors for the Building Industry Association of Central South Carolina (BIA). The two-year appointment came during the BIA’s Annual Meeting of the Membership in October.
Cole is a litigation defense attorney and certified circuit court mediator who focuses his law and appellate practice on the construction industry.
“Our firm recognizes that a strong construction sector helps our state grow and improve,” said Joey McCue, chair of Collins & Lacy’s Construction Practice Group. “We are proud of Andy’s service with a group that does so many good things for business and the economy in the Midlands of South Carolina.”
The Building Industry Association of Central South Carolina used to be known as the Home Builders Association of Greater Columbia. The non-profit professional association was founded in 1957 and brings together people from all phases of the building industry to promote and advocate for programs and policies that help create affordable housing.
