[COLUMBIA, S.C. March 22, 2011] – Kara Gormley Meador, Public Relations and Communications Director for Collins & Lacy, P.C., will host the South Carolina Department of Public Safety’s 6th Annual DUI Enforcement Recognition Ceremony. The ceremony is today, Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Radisson Hotel on Bush River Road. It will feature South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson as keynote speaker.
Between 200 and 300 people are expected to attend this year’s event, which helps honor the work of South Carolina law enforcement officers and agencies that have excelled over the past year in regards to DUI enforcement.
As master of ceremony, Meador will share a poignant story about how her family’s life changed in a split second due to the poor choices of one driver. She hopes her story inspires others to realize the responsibility that comes with getting behind the wheel. Meador says her partnership with the Public Safety Department in this event is an extension of Collins & Lacy’s commitment to community.
“Collins & Lacy is dedicated to helping South Carolina businesses stay in business. One of the ways we do this is by staying in touch with the community and organizations that make South Carolina great,” said Meador.
