I am always proud when our attorneys are invited to work alongside other legal organizations to help educate and provide important information that can help us all do our jobs better.
A week from today, several Collins & Lacy attorneys will be doing just that as we partner with the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) to provide a free accredited presentation to in-house counsel in South Carolina.
The seminar is entitled “Managing Your Risks: A 2012 Perspective on Business, Social Media and Litigation Risks.” Collins & Lacy is working directly with the ACC South Carolina Chapter to present the seminar Thursday, June 7, 2012 from 2:00p.m. to 5:00p.m. at EdVenture Children’s Museum.
The first section of the three-part CLE focuses on managing business risks, led by Collins & Lacy Insurance Practice Group Chair Pete Dworjanyn and Products Liability Practice Group Chair Brian Comer, who also practices in professional liability defense and general litigation. Pete will address risk management from an insurance perspective, and Brian will offer best practices learned in litigation.
Next, Employment Law Practice Group Chair Christian Boesl and employment attorney Charles Appleby will address the management of social media risks in the workplace. The presentation will draw upon emergent issues raised by the National Labor Relations Board, as well as general risks involving social media and employers.
Finally, Public Policy & Governmental Consulting Practice Group Chair Jon Ozmint will lead a panel discussion on how to manage risk in litigation from several different business perspectives.
This presentation is free to in-house counsel, but they must register to attend. For more information and to RSVP, please contact Kathleen Yarborough at email@example.com.
