Collins & Lacy Attorney to Chair SCDTAA Construction Law Committee

[COLUMBIA, S.C., January 6, 2011] - Collins & Lacy, P.C. is pleased to announce Andrew N. Cole has been selected to serve as Chair of the Construction Substantive Law Committee for the South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys’ Association (SCDTAA).
The purpose of the SCDTAA is to promote justice, professionalism and integrity in the civil justice system by bringing together attorneys dedicated to the defense of civil actions. As Chair of the Construction Substantive Law Committee, Cole will be responsible for providing current information to members about developments in South Carolina construction liability law, as well as planning educational programs for SCDTAA’s meetings throughout the year.
Cole is a shareholder focusing in construction law, as well as defense litigation and appellate advocacy. Prior to joining Collins & Lacy in 2002, Cole served as a staff attorney for the South Carolina Court of Appeals. Cole is a graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Law.
