Three Collins & Lacy Attorneys Selected for South Carolina Super Lawyers® 2010 List

[COLUMBIA, S.C.]  Three Collins & Lacy attorneys have been named to the 2010 list of South Carolina Super Lawyers®.  Joel W. Collins, Jr., Gray T. Culbreath, and Jack D. Griffeth were among those attorneys who were recently selected for inclusion in the publication.  Super Lawyers is a listing of those attorneys who are recognized by their peers and have a high degree of professional achievement. Selections are made on an annual, state-by-state basis and selection is based on a rigorous three-step process that includes peer nominations, independent research, and review by peer attorneys in the same practice area

Joel Collins, founding shareholder of the firm, is being recognized for his work in Civil Litigation Defense.  His practice focuses on complex civil litigation and white collar criminal defense.  He received his undergraduate degree from Clemson University in 1965 and earned his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1968. Mr. Collins was also selected for Best Lawyers 2010 and has an AV rating with Martindale-Hubbell.

Gray Culbreath, managing shareholder of the firm, is being recognized for his work in Personal Injury Defense: Products Liability.  His practice focus includes products liability, class action litigation, and professional negligence claims.  Additionally, he conducts an active appellate practice for his regional and national clients.  Mr. Culbreath received his undergraduate degree from Wofford College.  He earned his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law. Mr. Culbreath has also been recognized by Best Lawyers 2010 and is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell.

Jack Griffeth, Of Counsel to the firm, has been selected for his practice in Alternative Dispute Resolution.  He has been certified as a mediator by the South Carolina Bar and speaks frequently on the subject of mediation.   He is a summa cum laude graduate of Wofford College where he earned his degree in Liberal Arts.  He received his Juris Doctor from Duke University.  Mr. Griffeth has appeared on the Best Lawyers list consecutively since his selection to the 11th edition in 2005 and has an AV rating with Martindale-Hubbell.
