Gray Culbreath Receives Compleat Lawyer Award

Collins & Lacy, P.C. is pleased to announce that Gray T. Culbreath has been selected to receive the Gold Compleat Lawyer Award from the University of South Carolina School of Law. 

The Compleat Lawyer Awards were established by the University of South Carolina Law School Alumni Association in 1992 to recognize alumni for outstanding civic and professional accomplishments. Each year the Alumni Association selects nine outstanding alumni to receive the Compleat Award. Nominees are individuals who have made significant contributions to the legal profession and exemplify the highest standard of professional competence, ethics and integrity.  The Gold Compleat Lawyer Award is presented to an attorney with 15 – 29 years of practice experience.  Gray will receive the Compleat Lawyer Award at the upcoming Alumni Association Dinner on April 16th.

Gray is the managing partner for Collins & Lacy.  His practice focus includes products liability, class action litigation, transportation litigation, business and commercial litigation, and professional negligence claims.  Additionally, he conducts an active appellate practice for his regional and national clients.  Gray earned his undergraduate degree from Wofford College.  He earned his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he was a member of the Moot Court Bar, and the National Moot Court Team.

Gray is an active member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel and the International Association of Defense Counsel.  He is a member of Lawyers for Civil Justice and the Defense Research Institute and serves as Secretary for the South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys Association.  Gray is also an active member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and currently serves as the Chair of the South Carolina State Museum Commission.  Gray has been selected for Best Lawyers and Super Lawyers, and is considered to be one of South Carolina’s preeminent attorneys according to Martindale-Hubbell.
