Aisha Grant Taylor is a senior associate practicing in workers' compensation defense and employment law. Aisha regularly appears before the S.C. Workers' Compensation Commission and the S.C. Department of Employment and Workforce on both hearing and appellate matters. She has developed particular experience in the defense of workers' compensation based in retaliatory discharge claims as well as EEOC discrimination claims. Aisha is a member of the South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys' Association, the Society for Human Resource Management and the South Carolina Risk and Insurance Management Society.
Prior to joining Collins & Lacy in 2007, Aisha served as a judicial law clerk for The Honorable Brooks P. Goldsmith of South Carolina’s Sixth Judicial Circuit Court. Aisha graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where she received the CALI Award for Race, Education and the Constitution in 2005. Aisha completed her undergraduate work at the University of South Carolina as well where she was a captain of the 2002 NCAA National Championship Women’s Track & Field Team and a four-year SEC Scholar Athlete.

Practice Focus/Trial Experience
- Workers' Compensation: regularly appears before the South Carolina Workers' Compensation Commission on both hearing and appellate matters. She has developed particular experience in physical brain damage and paraplegic / quadriplegic cases. She also is experienced in defense of self-insured and uninsured employers and workers’ compensation insurance carriers.
- Employment/Labor Law: experience in representing clients regularly before the South Carolina Employment Commission, state courts and federal district courts. In addition to litigation, Aisha works with clients in document preparation and addressing ways to minimize employment risk.
